WESTSIDE ROAD
Interchange Project

A partnership between Westbank First Nation and the Province of British Columbia

The Westside Road Interchange Project

The Westside Road Interchange is a $ 41 m transportation improvement project funded by the Province of British Columbia with contributions from the Government of Canada.  It is one of several transportation projects planned as part of the Okanagan Valley Corridor improvements.

The new interchange will replace the existing traffic intersection at Westside Road and Highway 97 with a grade-separated interchange and an overpass at Sneena Road.  The result will be safer, more efficient traffic movement along Highway 97 to and from the William R. Bennett Bridge.

The new interchange will be opened in late October, 2011.  Project completion is scheduled for summer, 2012.
